Hi all, My ‘Y’ plate 1300 has been off the road for sometime getting it back on the road now, I have cleaned carbs, petrol tap drained and replaced old fuel(including adding redex) but it now coughs and splutters. I can make it run smoothly by disconnecting vacuum pipe from inlet 2 to fuel tap, would appricate any advice or tips. Thanks Rich

That means it is running ritch, with the vacuum air added it leans out. Maybe a stuck float needle. You can tap the bottom side (the float chambers) with a piece of wood, this sometimes does the trick.
